Arena-Auditorium will rocking when the New Mexico Lobos take the floor with the Wyoming Cowboys.
Fans of offense will enjoy watching New Mexico who like to get out and run the floor with opponent doing much the same thing. It has worked for this team who improved to 10-3 following an 80-73 decision versus Colorado State for their third straight victory. The Lobos took an eight point lead in to the second half but couldn't shake the Rams who hit at 37% compared to 43% for UNM. That was enough with the Lobos totaling a few more baskets and a handful more free throws. Cameron Bairstow was the star of the game with a high of 29 points and 14 rebounds with Kendall Williams checking in with 22 points, eight pulls and seven assists while Alex Kirk chipped in with ten points and eleven yanks.

Wyoming will probably go as far as star Larry Nance Jr can carry them which hasn't been too shabby thus far. The defensive minded Cowboys are allowing only 61 points per contest which has them ranked in the top 20 defensively. The defense came through but not the offense in a 61-58 loss at Nevada in a boxscore that was as close as the game. The Wolf Pack sank a few more baskets to off set a few more Wyoming free throws. The Cowboys were led in the scoring column by Josh Adams with 15 points while the duo of Riley Grabau and Larry Nance Jr tossed in 14 points each with Nance snaring six rebounds but he was only 5-15 from the floor.
This one is all about who controls the pace with New Mexico looking to run the floor while Wyoming wants things slow and steady. The Lobos have done well in this match up but have to keep Nance from dominating and right now I'll back them...
