The Florida State Seminoles travel to Clemson to take on the Tigers on Thursday night.
Florida State dropped to 9-4 on the year after losing to Virginia 62-50 last weekend. Florida State shot a miserable 30.8% from the field and only 28.6% from behind the arc. The Seminoles reached the charity stripe 22 times and only shot 63.6%. Okaro White was the lone double-digit scorer with 15 points and he also led the team with 7 rebounds. Ian Miller led the Seminoles with 4 assists and added 6 points in the loss. On the season, Miller averages a team-high 13.4 points and 3.5 assists per contest. White averages 13 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game. The Seminoles are averaging 74.9 points per game while shooting 47.4% from the field as a team this season. Florida State is a good rebounding team, pulling down 38.7 rebounds per game. This will be the Seminoles fourth true road game of the year; the Seminoles are 1-2 away from home this season.

The Clemson Tigers improved to 10-3 on the year after beating Boston College 62-60 this past weekend. The Tigers shot 43% from the field and an impressive 46% from three-point range against the Eagles. K.J. McDaniels scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Jordan Roper had 15 points and Rod Hall added 12 for the Tigers. On the year, McDaniels leads the team with 16.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Hall is averaging 10.8 points per game and averages a team-high 4 assists per contest. The Tigers are averaging 68.6 points per game while shooting 43.8% from the field. Clemson has a ton of size in the front court and in result they’re a great rebounding team this season. The Tigers have won two straight games after losing two out of three. Clemson has not lost a game at home so far this season.
Florida State has won the last four meetings against Clemson, including a 4-point win in the ACC tournament last season. Clemson has played well at home, while the Seminoles have not traveled well so far this season. The Seminoles are a young team that has several issues on both ends of the court. Clemson is not an elite team in the ACC, but they will be the better team at the end of this matchup. I think the Tigers win and cover a low-scoring game on Thursday.
