The Line: Portland Pilots +7.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Portland Pilots shoot for the upset of the #22 Gonzaga Bulldogs at the Chiles Center.

After falling to Kansas State, Gonzaga has gotten back on the horse and ripped off four wins in a row by double figures. The goal for the Bulldogs now is to keep winning and slowly climb the national rankings which will happen if they can keep duplicating their effort from the 86-64 decision over Pacific. This one was over quickly with the Zags punishing the visitors with 69% scoring while the Tigers were held to 31.7%. Drew Barham and Kevin Pangos each tossed in 16 points with Pangos snagging five pulls with David Stockton next up with 15 points and five helpers while Sam Dower chipped in with 13 points and seven boards.

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Portland appeared to be a team that would be capable of making a little noise in the West Coast but they have struggled once conference play began. The Pilots have dropped three of four after falling to visiting Saint Mary's 72-63 with the Gaels leading throughout. The Pilots were doomed by 38% accuracy with four double digit scorers not enough. Ryan Nicholas led the way with 12 points with Alec Wintering netting eleven while the combo of Kevin Bailey and Bobby Sharp tossed in ten points each. Altogether eight players received 16 minutes of playing time and each scored.

Gonzaga is on the edge of losing their top 25 rank so this is a must win in that regard. The Bulldogs have faired well versus the Pilots and that has to continue...
