The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers welcome the Georgia State Panthers to the E.A. Diddle Arena.
Offense has been the name of the game for Georgia State and their record says it's treated them well. The Panthers have rattled off six straight wins following a 73-63 decision at South Alabama where the defense even got involved by holding the Jaguars to only 31% from the field. That made the Panthers 41% marksmanship decisive as it meant four more field goals in a close boxscore otherwise. RJ Hunter was the offensive star with 30 points and five pulls including five bombs with Manny Atkins and Devonta White tossing in 14 points apiece with White posting five boards and four helpers.

The defensive minded Hilltoppers are off to a very solid 10-5 start after winning five of six. The scoring has been adequate but the defense has been the driving force in a 60-51 decision at Troy. Western Kentucky connected at 47% from the floor while the Trojans hit at only 28% which was about the only significant advantage. George Fant was the Hilltoppers only double digit scorer with 12 points and nine rebounds with Caden Dickerson, O'Karo Akamune, TJ Price and Chris Harrison-Docks each netting nine points with Price grabbing five rebounds. The offense was balanced but not explosive although the defense made things easy on the scoreboard.
Both teams are playing well but their strength of schedule is very poor so playing well is relative. I'm going with a solid home team with small chalk...
