The Rutgers Scarlet Knights travelt to Fifth Third Arena to face the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Rutgers has been leaning on their scoring ability and hoping the defense comes around but that has yet to happen. The Scarlet Knights put up plenty of points versus Louisville but the D continued to struggle in an 83-76 defeat that snapped a three game winning streak. This was a sloppy one where both teams combined for 35 turnovers with Rutgers hanging in there with 12 more looks resulting in four more field goals but eventually losing it with UL leading 41-24 at the line. Myles Mack led the attack with 19 points with Craig Brown adding 17 followed by Kadeem Jack and Junior Etou with 12 and ten points and a combined eleven pulls.

Is Cincinnati the team to beat in the AAC? That's a definite maybe with the suffocating defense they play that is allowing less then 57 points. That defense saved their bacon in a 61-60 victory at Houston that saw the Bearcats early blow a 16 point half time lead. The Cougars were forced in to 15 turnovers that combined with 16 offensive rebounds to give the 37% shooting Bearcats nine more looks which proved to be invaluable.Sean Kirpatrick led the offense with 17 points with Jermaine Sanders netting eleven while Justin Jackson, Ge'Lawn Guyn and Titus Rubles each scored seven points with Rubles hauling in a game high ten rebounds.
This could be a titanic blowout because Cincinnati is that good. Rutgers has the ability to cover but they also have the ability to have their butts handed to them. No play for me with better games out there...
