The St Bonaventure Bonnies look to take down the #19 Massachusetts Minutemen on the road.
If teams like St Bonaventure continue to play well the A-10 will be an exciting conference to watch because there is talent everywhere. The Bonnies proved that with an 84-70 decision over a pretty good Richmond squad for win number four in a row. The Bonnies led by 13 at the break and held serve the rest of the way with 48% shooting and a 27-13 advantage at the foul line getting the job done. Matthew Wright led a balanced attack with 20 points with Youssou Ndoye on his heels with a 19 point, eleven pull effort followed by Andell Cumberbatch and Jordan Gathers with 12 and eleven points.

If Massachusetts eventually wins the A-10 it will be well earned as they have been taking the best shot from opponents and still prevailing. That was the case in a 66-62 decision over Saint Joseph's with the Minutemen rallying late with 17 forced turnovers giving the offense eight more looks which proved to be crucial with UMass connecting at 44% from the floor. Leading scorer Chaz Williams pumped in 22 points followed by Maxie Esho with 12 while Rahpiael Putney and Derrick Gordon contributed eleven and eight points respectively. UMass ran an eight man rotation with seven scoring points.
UMass wins this because they are the far better team while the Bonnies have a great record against weaker competition which haven't always been impressive showings. Not the greatest feel but the Minutemen have been playing them close the past week or so which says take the points and pray...
