The Bowling Green Falcons look to defend their home court when Northern Illinois visits.
Northern Illinois has struggled in recent years at the offensive end and that looks to be the case once again meaning the best chance of winning is keeping things slow and control the scoreboard. The offense continued to struggle in a 67-46 loss at Buffalo with 27% shooting causing the most problems with 19 giveaways not helping. Darrell Bowie was the only double digit scorer with 13 points on 5-11 shooting with Askel Bolin, Aaric Armstead and Aaron Armstead each netting seven points on combined 6-23 shooting.

Bowling Green hasn't been lighting up the scoreboard either with 64 points scored and 64 given up so they too have to control the scoreboard by keeping the game in the half court while milking the clock. They did exactly that versus Eastern Michigan and still dropped a 56-51 decision with the Eagles connecting at 35% from the floor and the Falcons at 31%. A 3-16 effort from long range hurt BGSU while five more makes at the line won it for EMU. Richaun Holmes was the leading scorer with 17 points and seven yanks with Jehvon Clarke adding elleven followed by Spencer Parker and Anthony Anderson netting ten points each with six pulls each.
The first team to 60 might win this with neither looking to speed things up. When I see the spread my first thought was take the points but I do thing Bowling Green has played some tougher teams well...
