The Duquesne Dukes welcome A-10 rival La Salle to town in a Sunday afternoon action.
I don't think La Salle was given much thought and their early season numbers seem to support that but they might be in the process of turning things around with a 5-2 mark in the last seven. A 76-72 decision over George Washington was a nice effort versus a quality opponent with 49% from the floor over coming the Colonials 39% which almost did the job with 16 offensive boards adding up to 15 more looks. Sam Mills led all scorers with 17 points with Tyrone Garland tossing in 15 while Tyreek Duren and Steve Zack scored 13 and nine points with Zack grabbing eight boards.

Duquesne has been clicking on all cylinders as of late as they are riding a five game winning streak. The Dukes are coming in off of an 87-81 victory over visiting Fordham in which they took a 13 point lead in to the break and held off a late Rams rally. The Dukes limited the visitors to under 37% from the field but saw Fordham nail 16 bombs to stay competitive with Duquesne winning it at the charity stripe with a 30-13 edge. Ovie Soko paced the scoring with 29 points and nine rebounds with Derrick Colter netting 14 while Dominique McCoy and Jeremiah Jones combined for 22 points and and 17 boards as the starting five did most of the damage.
Both teams have the same record but the Dukes was built on the #347 strength of schedule while the Explorers is #70. That has me looking at La Salle but they don't look like a great bet on the road...
