The Marist Red Foxes head to Draddy Gymnasium to face the short handed Manhattan Jaspers.
Marist had been playing their best basketball of the season with five consecutive victories following an 0-9 start. The good times came to an end in a 67-59 defeat at Siena with only 35% accuracy and 14 turnovers doing them in. This was a winnable game with the Saints held to only 38.6% but Siena sank 13 more free throws which was the deciding factor. Khallid Hart was the big gun with 22 points including four long balls with Jay Bowie and Chavaughn Lewis netting eleven points each. Production was hard to come by with only 14 points posted by six others.

Manhattan rolled in to Quinnipiac riding an eight game winning streak and left town with an 81-76 defeat and leading scorer and rebounder George Beamon on the shelf for the next month with a shoulder injury which is devistating. With Beamon playing just five minutes this was still a winnable contest with their 14-28 effort at the charity stripe losing the game with the Bobcats held to 39% from the floor and kept in check on the backboards. Michael Alvarado paced the scoring with 23 points and ten rebounds with Shane Richards and Ashton Pankey combining for 21 points as nine players picked up the scoring load without Beamon.
Marist came back to earth last time out and face a Manhattan squad without their best player. I don't know if I'd put money on the Jaspers until we see them play without their star...
