Virginia Commonwealth has been on a roll with five consecutive victories by double figures where their combination of scoring and defense has been key. George Washington is off to a fantastic start as they try to put their name on the list of contenders in the Atlantic Ten. The Colonials improved to 13-3 with a 69-56 rout of visithg Rhode Island that wasn't as close as the final score. Gw led 37-13 at the break behind 48% marksmanship while holding the Rams to 42.6% with URI making the score respectable after the Colonials eased up the gas late. Kevin Larsen four double digit scorers with 17 points and seven boards with the duo of Patricio Garino and Kethan Savage netting 14 points apiece and eight yanks followed by a ten point, ten rebound performance from Isaiah Armwood.
Virginia Commonwealth definitely gets more ink then George Washington and I'm sure the Colonials are well aware. I know the Rams have won all three match ups between the two but there isn't much of an edge here to exploit and I'd prefer to watch this then bet it...
