The Arkansas State Red Wolves go on the road to take the floor with the Georgia State Panthers.
Arkansas State has been heating up with wins in four of five as they begin the Sun Belt slate at 3-1. The score first Red Wolves received a helping hand from the defensive end of the floor in a 72-60 victory over South Alabama in which ASU did their damage on 43% from the floor which added up to four more field goals over the 34.5% shooting Jaguars. Kirk Van Slyke was the offensive star of the game with 21 points and 14 rebounds followed by 12 points each from Melvin Johnson III and Edward Townsel with the latter snagging ten rebounds.

Georgia State's initial foray in to the Sun Belt has been a good one so far with a 3-0 start following a 77-54 road win at Western Kentucky which is no small feat. Overall the surging Panthers have won seven in a row behind a consistent offense that is averaging over 78 points. Both ends of the floor were at their best versus the Hilltoppers with 48% accuracy far outdistancing the home team's 28%. Georgia State made WKY pay for each of their 21 personals with a perfect 22-22 at the charity stripe. Manny Atkins led five DD scorers with 18 points with Curtis Washington next in line with 16 points and ten rebounds while Devonta White netted 13. RJ Hunter and Ryan Harrow closed out the scoring with 12 and eleven points.
I could make an argument for both teams which generally means I'm split on the side. Georgia State is the better team but the spread seems to be spot on so no value...
