The Line: Baylor Bears -6.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Storyline: 12thranked Baylor and #25 Oklahoma both look to rebound from upsets when they square off at the Ferrell Center in Waco Saturday.
The Breakdown: The Bears barely had a minute to celebrate their 88-62 thrashing of TCU before losing their second of three Big 12 matchups 82-72 to Texas Tech Wednesday. Baylor entered conference play ranked 7th in the country—the highest spot in the Big 12—and are now likely to plummet much farther than their current #12. Handing the Red Raiders their first conference victory signals the start of a rough patch for the Bears, who shot just 41 percent from the field and 4 of 20 from distance, while allowing Texas Tech to connect on 57 percent from the floor and 5 of 11 from outside the arc. Baylor was also outrebounded by the Red Raiders 35-29. Through 16 games, the Bears are averaging 78.6 ppg on 48 percent shooting and senior F Corey Jefferson leads the team with 13.2 pg , followed by junior G Kenny Chery at 11.6 ppg.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma is also threatening to lose its place in the top 25 after just arriving. The Sooners followed their 87-82 upset of then #9 Iowa State Jan. 11 by laying an egg in a 72-66 loss at K-State Tuesday. OU sunk to its lowest shooting percentage (33) of the season and second lowest scoring total, while allowing the Wildcats to shoot 21 of 50 from the field and 11 of 21 from distance. The Sooners were also outrebounded by K-State 42-38. On the season, OU is averaging 85.8 ppg for 5th in the nation on 45 percent shooting and senior F Cameron Clark leads the team with 17.3 ppg, followed by sophomore G Buddy Hield at 16.5 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -6.5 for Baylor and these two are hard to figure. Both were surging and hit walls at critical times, the Bears’ fall from grace being more noteworthy. Baylor gets the lean, but not for much more reason than playing at home.
