The Cal Golden Bears and the Washington State Cougars face off on Saturday in Pac-12 college basketball.
The Cal Golden Bears seemed to have figured something out as they have reeled of four wins in their four Pac-12 games. Cal is 9-0 at home this season and they have played the 46th ranked schedule in the country as they are tied for first place in the Pac-12. Justin Cobbs leads the Bears averaging 14.9 points and 6.4 assists per game. Richard Solomon is averaging 12.1 points and 10.3 rebounds, David Kravish is averaging 11.9 points and 7.8 rebounds, and Tyrone Wallace is averaging 11.9 points. Cal has been one of the bigger surprises in college hoops thus far.

The Washington State Cougars are having a rough go of it this season and they are 1-4 so far this season in the Pac-12. WSU is a game under .500 overall and they have played the 43rd ranked schedule in the country. DaVonte Lacy is averaging 17.7 points to lead the Cougars. Que Johnson is averaging 10.1 points, Royce Woolridge is averaging 9.5 points, and Dexter Kernich-Drew is averaging 7.5 points. Washington State is averaging 63.9 points and they are shooting 42 percent while defensively they are allowing 64 points and their opponents are shooting 43.2 percent. Washington State is in 11th place in the Pac-12 standings.
Cal is 5-0 against the spread in their last five games, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games, and 3-7-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Washington State is 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 4-1 against the spread following a loss, and 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record. The home team has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.
The total is set at 131 which looks to be too low so my pick is the over. I also have a play on who will cover the spread that I put in the Premium Area and the App.
