The Connecticut Huskies host the Louisville Cardinals in an AAC match up on Saturday.
When Louisville scores and defends as capable they are a handful to deal with which we saw in a 91-52 rout of Houston that was never competitive. The Cardinals were business like in taking a 29 point lead in to the break and continuing the carnage until the final buzzer. The defense held the Cougars to under 31% and forced 15 turnovers while connecting at 51.5% including 15-28 from long range and posting 14 more looks. Wayne Blackshear paced the scoring spree with 23 points followed by Russ Smith with Russ Smith and his 18 points while Luke Hancock chipped in with ten.

Connecticut can be difficult to nail down at times but they haven't been in back to back victories that evened their conference record at 2-2. The Huskies rode a big second half to upend Memphis on the road by an 88-73 count behind some big offense that connected at a hefty 57% from the field. UConn received a game high 23 points and eleven rebounds from DeAndre Daniels followed by Shabazz Napier with 17 points and ten helpers while Lasan Kromah netting 13. Altogether the Huskies went nine deep with each finding the scoring column with five others adding between 4-7 points.
Louisville will be the public favorite so backing them scares me but if they are at the top of their game I think they are the choice but I don't pick Huskies games well...
