The Line: Marshall Thundering Herd +1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
It’s going to be a matchup between two middle of the road clubs when the 7-10 Tulsa Golden Hurricane travel to the Henderson Center to play the 6-12 Marshall Thundering Herd. Marshall has lost six of its last seven games, while Tulsa has won three of its last four.
From a spread perspective, the line is pretty much dead on. It’s difficult to find an advantage when looking at either team considering they’re both so mediocre. Marshall is one of the higher scoring teams in the country, averaging 79.6 points per game and shooting 44.9 percent from the field. However, the Thundering Herd cancel that out when allowing teams to shoot 45.4 percent from the field.

Tulsa doesn’t exactly fill it up from the field, as it is shooting 43.9 percent and a poorly 65.4 from the free throw line. However, given Marshall’s defensive struggles that percentage could improve greatly in this game. Tulsa also only turns the ball over 11 times per game, which gives the Golden Hurricane another slight advantage in this game.
Overall, I’d say this was a no play, but Marshall hasn’t been able to catch a break in the winning department recently and Tulsa is recently finding some momentum, which includes taking a drastically underrated Charlotte team to overtime. Tulsa is also 5-1 against the spread in its last six games against Conference USA opponents.
Give me the Golden Hurricane in a toss-up.
