After getting manhandled by Manhattan on Thursday, Siena will try to snap its two-game losing streak against Iona.
This is going to be an interesting battle between two teams that are pretty much complete opposites. Iona relies on scoring a truckload of points by shooting 48 percent from the field and averaging 82 points per game, while Sienna focuses more on playing defense and crashing the boards on every missed shot attempt. The Saints average 38.2 rebounds per game.

The downside to both of these teams is that the Gaels are ranked 317th in rebounding and allows teams to shoot 47.3 percent on defense. It’s a team that wants to play a track meet style of game and hopes to have the last shot attempt to win the game. Meanwhile, the Saints don’t score a lot of points but do a lot of the little things right, such as rebounding and playing defense.
The lack of defense has scared me away from Iona. I also like the fact the Saints are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a straight up loss. They should get plenty of second chance opportunities and enough good looks to keep this game close.
Give me the road team that is desperate to get back into the win column.
