It’s a good thing Momouth is returning home after losing its last two games on the road. The Hawks have won four of their last six home games and holds a 2-3 against the spread record in front of their home fans. They only shoot 41.6 percent from the field and only make 65.2 percent of their free throws, but pretty much live and die by the three ball where it shoots a pretty good 35.5 percent from beyond the arc.
The Golden Griffins have actually won four of their last five games and are an impressive 6-3 against the spread on the road. Senior guard Billy Baron is one of the better players in the Horizon League, as he’s averaging 23.2 points and 5.1 assists per game. As a team, they shoot a solid 70.9 percent from the free throw line and a much better 41 percent from downtown.
Canisius has the better player in Baron and a great against the spread record on the road. It’s also a team that is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games following a SU victory. You have no choice but to go against the home team here and side with the Golden Griffins on the road.
