The Ohio Bobcats hope to hold on to their share of first in the MAC when the Bowling Green Falcons visit.
Bowling Green has to control the pace and milk the clock and hopefully the scoreboard to be consistently competitive because their offense does not score a lot of points. The Falcons did all three against Western Michigan and came away with a surprising 69-64 victory behind a strong second half that erased a 12 point deficit. BGSU won because 18 forced turnovers helped the offense to eleven more shots with ten makes from distance making 40% shooting a winning number. Anthony Henderson tossed in a game high 27 points with Spencer Parker next with 13 followed by Jehvon Clarke and Richaun Holmes netting 12 and ten points.

Ohio is a challenger in the MAC because of their ability to both score and defend which currently has the team locked in to a first place tie in the conference at 3-1. The Bobcats defense came up aces in a 65-46 rout of rival Northern Illinois behind a monster second half that erased a one point Huskies lead. The Bobcats connected at a red hot 52% including a 10-19 effort from beyond the arc that easily bettered the Huskies 29% from the floor. Nick Kellogg led the offense with 16 points on 7-9 with Maurice Ndour coming through with ten points and eight boards while TJ Hall and Javarez Willis combining for 17 points.
Bowling Green has played Ohio fairly well over the years and do a decent enough job of keeping games competitive. I'm not interested in putting money on them because the Bobcats can roll over anyone when playing well at home...
