The Line: St. Bonaventure Bonnies -2.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
La Salle will look to extend its winning streak to six games and St. Bonaventure will look to snap its three-game losing skid when the two teams square off on Wednesday night.
The Explorers, who are not known for scoring at will, are shooting a surprising 49 percent from the field and nearly 40 percent from downtown in their last five games. No wonder they are currently experiencing their most successful stretch of the regular season. If a shooting performance like that can continue against the Bonnies, they may have a chance to win this game straight up.

As for the Bonnies, they have been on the losing end of several tight games this season, including a five-point loss to UMass and a six-point loss to Saint Louis. The red hot shooting from La Salle shouldn’t worry them, as they’ve been shooting above 45 percent all season long and also play above-average defense, holding teams to less than 70 points per game.
While the Explorers have been playing great ball recently, it’s impossible to ignore some alarming trends in this matchup. St. Bonaventure has covered the spread in 10 of its 16 games this season and is 5-1 against the spread at home. It’s also 9-3 against the spread in its last 12 games against Atlantic 10 competition.
It’s a team that’s desperate for a win at this point.
Go ahead and back the home team and the small chalk.
