The USC Trojans and the Cal Golden Bears face off on Wednesday in Pac-12 college basketball action.

The Cal Golden Bears are one of the surprise teams in the Pac-12 and the nation this season starting Pac-12 play 5-0. Cal is 3-3 away from home and they have played the 60th ranked schedule. Justin Cobbs leads the Bears averaging 14.9 points and 6.4 assists per game. Richard Solomon is averaging 12.1 points and 10.2 rebounds, David Kravish is averaging 11.7 points and 7.4 rebounds, and Tyrone Wallace is averaging 12 points. Cal is averaging 76.7 points and they are shooting 47.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.1 points and their opponents are shooting 40.2 percent. Cal is tied for first place in the Pac-12 standings.
USC is 13-27-2 against the spread in their last 42 home games, 0-4 against the spread following a loss, and 0-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Cal is 5-0 against the spread against the Pac-12, 6-0 against the spread in their last six games, and 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 Wednesday games. The road team is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings of these two.
