Morehead State is a score first squad and are very good at it with a top 40 offensive squad that is averaging 79 points. The Eagles have won five of six and are currently 1/2 of a game out of first in the OVC East Division after outscoring Tennessee-Martin 82-75. MSU rode 43% shooting and eight more looks to sink six more field goals to hold a slight edge over the 39% shooting Skyhawks. Angelo Warner was the offensive star with 25 points and six yanks with Jordan Percell tossing in 13. Brent Arrington was next in line with 12 points and seven boards followed by the duo of Greg Dotson and Chad Posthumus with 21 points.

If you follow Belmont basketball then you know the team lost some talent from a season ago which has shown up more on the defensive end of the floor. The Bruins are currently at the top of the Ohio Valley at 4-1 and have won six of seven after stepping out of conference and upending Fairfield 62-53. The Stags managed to control the pace but Belmont played the half court game well with 49% accuracy and holding FF to 36% from the floor and forcing 16 turnovers. Belmont received 15 points from JJ Mann with Reece Chamberlain adding 13 points and five pulls that was followed by Craig Bradshaw and Evan Bradds with 12 and nine points.
Morehead State looks a bit better then a year ago and Belmont might be weaker defensively but they will still win the Ohio Valley. They'll win this too but hopefully not by a blowout...
