The Line: Colorado State Rams -3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Saturday afternoon, New Mexico and Colorado State will meet for the second time this season. The Lobos won the earlier meeting 80-73 thanks to a 29-point performance from forward Cameron Bairstow.
Since then, the Rams are 3-1 and playing much better defense, as they haven’t allowed more than 68 points in the last four games. They continue to crash the boards well with an average of 38 per game, but that shooting percentage has dipped recently. Although they’re averaging more than 44 percent from the field on the season, the Rams are shooting a concerning 40.8 percent from the field during the last five games.

On the other hand, New Mexico has been on a scoring tear, dropping more than 80 points in two straight victories. Due to 39 boards per game and easy put backs, the Lobos have been an offensive nightmare for opponents and are even knocking down close to eight threes during the last five games. It’s safe to say New Mexico is playing its best basketball as of late and should feel confident going on the road with its 4-0 straight record away from home.
However, neither team has been money against the spread this season. The Lobos are just 5-9 against the number, while the Rams are 3-9-1. Both teams have a losing record against the spread at home and on the road.
With that red flag, we’re going to play the total on this game.
Expect a low-scoring game.
