The Bob Carpenter Center will be packed when the Towson Tigers visit the Delaware Blue Hens.
Towson is one of the better teams in the Colonial and have been showing it with five consecutive victories before going flat in a 57-54 loss to visiting Northeastern. The Tigers fell victim to a 19 point first half deficit with a dramatic comeback falling a basket short. Cold 32% shooting including a 6-25 from long range did the Tigers in and made a winner of th Huskies 39% from the floor. Marcus Damas led the Towson offense with 21 points and five yanks with Rafriel Guthrie next in line with 13 points while leading scorer Jerelle Benimon was held to six points on just four shots although he did pulll down 13 rebounds.

Behind a top 25 offense that has been consistently putting big numbers on the scoreboard Delaware has racked seven straight wins following a 90-77 decision at Drexel. The up tempo Blue Hens burned the nets at 56.5% while dominating the backboards 40-25 and turning 18 Dragons personals in to a 16-21 effort at the foul line. The UD defense got in to the act also by limiting the home team 42.6% from the field to simply out gun their CAA rival. Devon Saddler pumped in a high of 23 points with eight pulls and seven helpers followed by Jarvis Threatt with 18 points, five boards and nine assists. Marvin King-Davis tossed in 15 points while Davon Usher and Carl Baptiste added 12 and ten points.
Delaware must control Benimon in the paint and will try to light it up from the outside with the occasional drive to the basket. I'm hoping the Hens win by 20 but if the Tigers play well I will settle for the win...
