The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs welcome the Marshall Thundering Herd to town in a CUSA tilt.
Struggling Marshall put an end to a four game slide with a 73-63 decision at Rice. The question now is where does this team go from here with defeats in seven of nine hanging over their heads. More balance between the scoring and defense would be a good thing which is what we saw versus the Owls with almost 46% shooting and 22-8 advantage at the stripe getting the job done with the home team held to 42% from the field. Kareem Canty and Ryan Taylor were a deadly one, two punch with 18 points each with four others contributing between 7-9 points.

Louisiana Tech showed no ill effects from their loss at Southern Mississippi when they pounded Charlotte 80-60. The Bulldogs are one of the more balanced teams in the CUSA and the country for that matter and proved it Thursday with nearly 48% marksmanship taking care of the scoreboard. Defensively La Tech held the 49ers to 41% accuracy while forcing a hefty 23 turnovers to win going away as a 13 point favorite. The Bulldogs received a contest best 22 points from Alex Hamilton while Chris Anderson and Jaron Johnson netted 12 points each with Anderson also grabbing eight boards. Altogether every member of the nine man rotation scored at least four points.
If Louisiana Tech continues to perform at the high level they have then the big chalk will fall. The Bulldogs are one of the best in the conference despite losing to Southern Miss and this is another chance to prove it...
