The Iowa Hawkeyes are ranked 10th in the nation but that is likely to drop some after their loss to Michigan on Wednesday. Iowa is 4-2 in the Big Ten and 4-4 away from home while playing the 74th ranked schedule in the country. Roy Devyn Marble leads the Hawkeyes averaging 16.2 points per game. Aaron White is averaging 14.2 points and 6.5 rebounds, Jarrod Uthoff is averaging 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, and Melsahn Basabe is averaging 8.2 points and 6.8 rebounds. Iowa is averaging 85.7 points and they are shooting 47.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 7 points and their opponents are shooting 37.7 percent. Iowa has been solid all season so expect them to be looking forward.
Northwestern is 4-10 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 2-8 against the spread following a win, and 2-9 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread. Iowa is 10-2 against the spread against the Big Ten, 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, and 6-1 against the spread following a loss. The favorite has covered the point spread in the last five meetings of these two.
Northwestern has been playing well and this is a big number but it is one of those spots where I am going to take the big road favorite in what is a lean.
