The Wisconsin Badgers have lost their last three games and are reeling after a perfect start to the season. Wisconsin is 6-2 away from home and they have played the third ranked schedule in the nation. Sam Dekker leads the Badgers averaging 14.1 points and 6.3 rebounds. Frank Kaminsky is averaging 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds, Ben Brust is averaging 12.9 points, and Traevon Jackson is averaging 10.9 points. Wisconsin is averaging 75.4 points and they are shooting 47.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.7 points and their opponents are shooting 42.7 percent. Wisconsin has simply been outscored and not been able to keep place in their losses.
Purdue is 2-5 against the spread against the Big Ten, 0-5 against the spread in their last five home games, and 8-3 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. Wisconsin is 1-4 against the spread against the Big Ten, 0-5 against the spread following a loss, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. The underdog is 10-3 against the spread in the last 13 meetings of these two.
At the very least Purdue keeps this close enough to cover the number if they don’t win it outright.
