War Memorial Gymnasium and the San Francisco Dons host the Santa Clara Broncos.
If Santa Clara is going to be a factor in the West Coast the time is now to turn things around before it is too late. The Broncos fell to 3-5 in the conference following a 91-81 loss to Brigham Young for their third consecutive defeat. The Cougars raced out to a 17 point lead at the break behind 61.5% from the field which was too much for the 44% shooting Broncos to deal with. Jared Brownridge paced the attack with 30 points on 9-21 from the floor with Brandon Clark turning in a 20 point, seven assist effort.

San Francisco is fourth in the top heavy West Coast behind a potent offense that is averaging almost 78 points. The Dons generally prefer a high paced attack where they can light up the scoreboard but did do a solid job in the half court in knocking off San Diego 64-62. SF connected at 53.5% from the floor but made their life much more difficult with a 12-22 mark at the charity stripe. Avry Holmes led a trio of double digit scorers with 15 points with Kruize Pinkins dropping 14 points and hauling in eleven rebounds followed by Cole Dickerson and his ten points.
I think Santa Clara has to play with desperation because another loss and the division is way out of reach and that includes a top four finish. I will take the points but I'm not thrilled here...
