The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners battle CUSA rival the Texas El Paso Miners on Saturday.
If you look at the numbers Texas-San Antonio has been putting up we see too many points being allowed and the offense hasn't been able to keep up. Nothing went as planned in an 80-68 defeat at Middle Tennessee State with the deficit reaching 14 points heading in to the locker room and never getting smaller. UTSA never found the shooting touch on 33% from the floor with 14 turnovers not helping while the Blue Raiders hit at a 47% clip. Devon Agusi led the scoring with 18 points with Kaj-Bjorn Sherman tossing in 12 points and snaring five boards while Jordan Sims netted eleven points.

Texas El Paso has really been applying theselves defensively an the results have been positive. The Miners have won three in a row and eight of nine overall after squeezing out a 63-61 decision at Alabama-Birmingham. UTEP didn't set the world on fire with 44% marksmanship but they controlled the pace and slowed things down to the pace that best suited them and won it with a 6-2 edge on three pointers. Texas El Paso received 17 points and five yanks from CJ Cooper with Vince Hunter tossing in 18 points and snatching nine rebounds while John Bohannon scored eleven points and posted another eight boards. Altogether each member of the eight man rotation scored.
Texas-San Antonio has struggled on the road but the Miners typically don't blow people out and have Louisiana Tech on deck. I could make an argument for either team so not really interested but I'll go with the home squad...
