The Lafayette Leopards host the Colgate Raiders at the Kirby Sports Center in Patriot League action.
Colgate has been an adequate offensive team in 2013-14 according to their 70 point average but they have had issues putting up points in conference with 64 points or less in seven straight contests. This scoring drought has led to defeats in eight of nine following a 67-60 loss at Loyola-Maryland. The Raiders were outshot 44%-42% but gave the ball away 15 times and cme up short at the charity stripe by a 16-7 count. Leading scorer Murphy Burnatowski tossed in 13 points followed by Ethan Jacobs and Nathan Harries who combined for 21 points and and 12 boards.

Lafayette has been very tough to nail down as we have seen this team score and defend but also struggle in both areas. The Leopards have been competitive at times but haven't been able to win lately with ten straight defeats after dropping a 71-68 decision at Lehigh. The visitors shot the ball well enough at 46% but the Mountain Hawks were even better at 51% which equated to a few more field goals. Dan Trist paced a trio of double digit scorers with 16 points with Bryce Scott next in line with a 14 point, five pull and five assist effort while Joe Ptasinski and Nick Lindner netted 13 and nine points with Lindner dishing out seven helpers.
These teams are a combined 1-15 in the Patriot which hardly makes this a betting opportunity. I'm backing the visitors who have the offense to score on Lafayette on paper but need to do it in real life...
