Storyline: San Francisco looks for three in a row when they welcome Portland to War Memorial Gymnasium Wednesday.
The Breakdown: The Pilots are in 6th place in the West Coast Conference, dropping to 4-5 after a 65-63 loss to San Diego Saturday. Portland finished with a 37-30 advantage on the boards and forced 17 turnovers, but shot 38.3 percent from the field and hit 5 of 16 from outside the arc to the Torreros 50.0 percent from the floor and 8 of 12 from distance. Junior G Kevin Bailey had a game-high 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting and junior C Riley Barker added 10 points and 8 rebounds. On the season, the Dons are averaging 77.4 ppg on 48.3 percent shooting. Dickerson leads the team with 14.6 ppg, followed by sophomore G Cody Doolin at 13.0 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this matchup is currently set at -2.5 for San Francisco and the Dons took out Portland 87-81 in OT the last time these two hooked up, but remember the Pilots bigupset over Gonzaga a couple weeks ago.
