The Oregon State Beavers and the USC Trojans face off on Thursday in Pac-12 college basketball action.
The Oregon State Beavers are coming off of a loss to Washington lowering their record to 3-4 in the Pac-12 this season. OSU is 8-2 at home this season and they have played the 108th ranked schedule in the nation. Roberto Nelson leads the Beavers averaging 22.1 points per game. Devon Collier is averaging 14.6 points and 6.9 rebounds, Angus Brandt is averaging 12.4 points, and Hallice Cooke is averaging 6.6 points per game. Oregon State is averaging 77.4 points and they are shooting 49.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 74 points and their opponents are shooting 43.9 percent. Oregon State has been inconsistent but of late they have won three of their last five games.

The USC Trojans have had a tough go of it in Pac-12 play this season winning just once so far in the conference. USC is 2-7 away from home and they have played the 33rd ranked schedule in the nation. Byron Wesley leads the Trojans averaging 16.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Pe’Shon Howard is averaging 10.1 points, Nikola Jovanovic is averaging 9.1 points, and Omar Oraby is averaging 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. USC is averaging 71.9 points and they are shooting 44.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 74.6 points and their opponents are shooting 42.7 percent. USC is at .500 for the season and it will take a big effort to get above that mark and stay there.
Oregon State is 6-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 6-2-2 against the spread in their last 10 home games, and 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 home games against a team with a losing road record. USC is 7-20-2 in their last 29 road games, 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight games, and 12-30-2 against the spread against the Pac-12. The underdog is 4-1-1 against the spread in the last six meetings of these two.
