USA TODAY Sports
The Canisius Golden Griffins have won their last two games but they have been vulnerable on the road as we saw in their last road game when they lost to Monmouth. Canisius is 8-2 in MAAC play and tied for first lace in the conference but they are 6-7 away from home thus far this season. Billy Baron leads the Golden Griffins averaging 24.2 points per game. Chris Perez is averaging 11.4 points, Jordan Heath is averaging 10.8 points, and 5.4 rebounds, and Zach Lewis is averaging 9.4 points. Canisius is averaging 76.6 points and they are shooting 45.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 73.8 points and their opponents are shooting 46 percent. Canisius has played the 260th ranked schedule in the nation.
Quinnipiac is 5-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record and 2-5 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record. Canisius is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 6-2 against the spread following a win, and 4-1 against the spread against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Both of these teams are close and playing well but I give a slight edge to Quinnipiac at home and the line makes them the play.
