The Davidson Wildcats welcome the Citadel Bulldogs to the Belk Arena in a SoCon match up.
The Citadel has been reduced to playing the spoiler even though there is plenty of season to go. There are just too many teams to climb to become significant in the SoCon unless they can pull an upset or two versus contenders. If there is a surprise or two in the Bulldogs the defense will have to tighten up and that didn't happen in an 83-52 loss at Georgia Southern. The Eagles out shot the visitors 53%-35% which was decisive because it added up to eleven more field goals. Ashton Moore was the only double digit scorer with 14 points and five pulls with Brian White netting eight points.

It took awhile But Davidson is finally looking like the 900 pound gorilla that terrorized the SoCon the last few years. The Wildcats grabbed a share of first after knocking off previously unbeaten Chattanooga 94-51 on Thursday. The Mocs fell behind by 18 at the break and never recovered with the home team connecting at 59% and amassing 22 more looks at the basket. De'Mon Brooks paced the offensive show with a game high 27 points and 12 rebounds while Jordan Barham added 16 points in 15 minute followed by the duo of Tyler Kalinoski and Tom Droney with eleven points apiece and 13 helpers. Altogether ten of the 14 players that saw the floor managed to score as well.
The way Davidson is playing right now is no different then they have the past two years when they won the SoCon. I can say that going against them was no way to win money and I don't think it is now...
