The Toledo Rockets put first in the MAC on the line when they face the Ohio Bobcats on the road.
Toledo and their big time offense haven't missed a beat the entire season and that has continued in conference action. The Rockets opened the MAC schedule with a loss to Western Michigan before rolling to six straight victories that was capped off by an 83-70 decision at Miami (Ohio). The Redhawks simply could not match the visitors 55% accuracy and were out rebounded by a 40-25 count. Justin Drummond led a balanced attack with 16 points and eleven rebounds with Nathan Boothe checking in with 14 followed by a 14 point, six pull effort from JD Weatherspoon. Matt Smith added ten with three players chipping in with eight points apiece.

I have to say that Ohio has given me fits when trying to figure out what they are going to do from day to day. Their schedule has plenty of complete wins and a few close ones that I expected to be bigger performances. A good example of what I'm talking about is their 71-67 win over visiting Central Michigan that was an eight point hole at the half. The Bobcats shot the ball at 45% but did give it away 15 times and have had a habit of not getting their act together until late. Maurice Ndour was a force in the boxscore with his 21 points and eleven rebounds followed by Nick Kellogg with 15 points and six assists while Jon Smith and TJ Hall combined for 19 points.
I am having a hard time nailing down Ohio as they win when I go against them and vice versa. That should worry Toledo backers...
