The Breakdown: The Zags sit atop the WCC, improving to 9-1 with a narrow 54-52 victory over Santa Clara Wednesday when senior C Sam Dower drained a three-pointer with 1.9 seconds remaining. The Bulldogs struggled from the field, connecting on just 16 of 46 to the Broncos’ 18 of 50, but shot more accurately from outside the arc at 41.7 percent to Santa Clara’s 27.8 percent.
