Storyline: Texas Tech hopes to end a three-game skid when they host lowly TCU Saturday at United Spirit Arena.

The Breakdown: The Red Raiders fell to 2-6 and 8th place in the conference after their 66-58 defeat at Kansas State Tuesday. The Red Raiders also connected on 15 of 21 from the free throw line and finished with a 34-32 edge on the boards.  Senior F Jaye Crockett scored a team-high 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds, sophomore G Dusty Hannahs had 14 points on 5 of 12 shooting off the bench, and junior G Robert Turner added 9 points and 4 rebounds. Meanwhile, TCU is still in search of its first conference win, dropping to 0-7 in the Big 12 following a 91-69 loss to Kansas Saturday. The Horned Frogs hit 22 of 51 from the floor and 4 of 10 from outside the arc, while allowing Kansas to shoot 57.4 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from distance. TCU was also dominated on the boards 40-24. Freshman F Brandon Parrish scored a team-high 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting, junior F Amric Fields had 13 points and 7 rebounds, and junior G Kyan Anderson added 12 points and 8 assists. Through 19 games, the Horned Frogs are averaging 66.2 ppg on 41.4 percent shooting. Anderson leads the team with 14.9 ppg, followed by Fields at 13.8 ppg.

Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at 11.5 for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders topped TCU by 11 in Fort Worth last time around and the Red Raiders have to be desperate to end their slide after looking good for a couple weeks there. Look for Tech turn things around for the moment, but in a closer game than the spread.
