The Drexel Dragons take the hardwood with the Towson Tigers at the Towson Center on Saturday.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out where Drexel fits in the Colonial after watching them the last few weeks. Bruiser Flint is probably thinking the same thing after the team looked great early on but have been all over the map since and especially in conference play. The Dragons defeated Hofstra 77-74 despite blowing a late lead and letting the Pride almost steal one. Franz Masenat carried the offense with a contest best 32 points and nine helpers with Chris Fouch contributing 19 followed by the duo of Dartaye Ruffin and Rodney Williams with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Towson was touted as one of the main threats to the CAA crown which might come about if their scoring and defense is consistent. Neither was in back to back defeats to Northeastern and Delaware before both were back on track in a 76-58 rout of Hofstra on Monday. The Tigers got off to a fast start with an eleven point lead at the half and they never gave the visitors mount any kind of come back. The home team hit at 47% from the field and converted 20 Hofstra fouls in to a 21-5 edge at the line. Mike Burwell paced the scoring with 17 points followed by Jerelle Benimon and Marcus Damas with Benimon snagging ten boards while Rafriel Guthrie and Four McGlynn netting 14 and 11 points.
Towson won this match up by double figures two weeks ago so I'm thinking what has changed to make me go with either team. I don't see much except it's hard to sweep a team and I'm hoping that's not an issue...
