The Line: Boise State Broncos -1.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The San Diego State Aztecs will be tested when they travel to the Taco Bell Arena to play the Boise State Broncos. The Aztecs are now enjoying an 18-game winning streak and the Broncos have split their last two games.
It’s been the same story pretty much all season for Boise State. It plays wonderful against lesser competition but can’t seem to win the big game against great competition. It recently lost to New Mexico and UNLV, while losing every big game before that, including a 69-66 loss in January to San Diego State. The Broncos have been an average defensive team this season, but have now allowed teams to shoot above 48 percent in their last five games.

San Diego State can’t seem to do anything wrong as it is now 8-0 in conference play and undefeated on the road. Even when the shots refuse to fall sometimes the Aztecs are one of the better defensive teams in the country, holding opponents to 37.9 percent shooting and 58.1 points. Xavier Thames has been hotter than ever, scoring a combined 55 points in his last two games.
San Diego State plus money!?
The Aztecs are 10-7 against the spread this season and an even better 7-2 ATS on the road. Meanwhile, the Broncos are 6-11 ATS and a lousy 2-6 ATS at home. Boise State needs a win like this more than ever to strengthen its chances of reaching the NCAA tourney, but I simply don’t see it happening.
The Aztecs haven’t given you a reason to doubt them on the road. Getting them plus points makes this a Christmas present in February. Thank you betting gods.
