The Colorado Buffaloes and the Washington State Cougars face off on Wednesday in Pac-12 college basketball.
The Colorado Buffaloes are coming off of a win in their last game but it has been a rough stretch losing four of their last six games. Colorado is 5-4 in the Pac-12 and 13-1 at home this season. Josh Scott leads the Buffaloes averaging 14.4 points and 9.1 rebounds. Askia Booker s averaging 13.4 points, Xavier Johnson is averaging 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds, and Wesley Gordon is averaging 6.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. Colorado is averaging 73.7 points and they are shooting 44.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.4 points and their opponents are shooting 42.8 percent. Colorado hasn’t been the same team since Spencer Dinwiddie went down for the season.

The Washington State Cougars are coming off of a win in their last game but wins have come few and far between for WSU this season. Wazzu is 2-7 in the Pac-12 and are 11th place in the standings going 3-7 away from home. Que Johnson leads the Cougars averaging 10.9 points per game. D.J. Shelton is averaging 9.2 points and 8.6 rebounds, Royce Woolridge is averaging 8.3 points, and Dexter Kernich-Drew is averaging 6.8 points. Washington State is averaging 62.5 points and they are shooting 41.3 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 65.1 points and their opponents are shooting 44.3 percent from the floor. Washington State is 1-10 against teams with a RPI better than 100.
Colorado is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games, 8-3 against the spread following a win, and 1-4-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Washington State is 3-12-2 against the spread in their last 17 road games, 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, and 1-4-1 against the spread following a win.
This is a case of too many points and as bad as the cougars have been I will take them anyways.
