The Charleston Cougars head to the Bob Carpenter Center to tangle with the Delaware Blue Hens.
It wasn't long ago that Charleston bombed away from the perimeter and wasn't shy about lighting up the scoreboard. These days the Cougars prefer to keep things slow and steady while avoiding the track meet. CofC did just that in 67-49 victory over Hofstra with a nine point half time lead turning in to a rout. The Cougars hit at 40.7% from the floor including a 12-24 mark from long range while holding the Pride to 27%. Willis Hall gave the offense 18 points and hauled in eleven rebounds with Anthony Stitt addiding 16 points and five yanks while Nori Johnson netted 14.

Delaware was not the team to beat in the Colonial with many experts looking elsewhere but right now this team is sitting at the top of the conference at 9-0 after dispatching Northeastern 80-67 on Monday. The Blue Hens opened a 19 point lead after 20 minutes with just 42.6% shooting thanks to 12 bombs. The Huskies shot the ball well at 48% but UD leaned on 15 offensive rebounds to post 16 more looks. Devon Saddler did it all with 21 points, five pulls and eight helpers with Davon Usher pumping in a game high 25 points followed by the duo of Kyle Anderson and Carl Baptiste with 15 and 14 points with Baptiste ripping down 15 rebounds.
I have to think suspensions to Threatt and King-Davis eventually catch up to Delaware. I am not great on Charleston games and being a Blue Hens fan could warp my view so beware...
