The Virginia Tech Hokies travel to Florida State to play the Seminoles on Wednesday night.
Virginia Tech dropped to 8-13, 1-8 ACC after losing at home to Maryland 80-60 on Saturday. On the season, Jarell Eddie averages a team-high 14.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Ben Emelogu averages 11.6 points per game, while Devin Wilson averages a team-high 4.4 assists per game. The Hokies are averaging an awful 67.6 points per game while shooting a miserable 41.9% from the field as a team this season. The Hokies are a good rebounding team and it’s the only thing they are good at this year, averaging 37.9 boards per game. Virginia Tech has lost 8 straight games and ten of their last eleven. The Hokies will head out on the road where they are 1-3 on the season.

Florida State dropped to 13-8, 4-5 ACC after losing at home to Clemson 53-49 on Saturday. On the season, Ian Miller averages a team-high 12.7 points and 3.2 assists per game. Okaro White averages 12.6 points per game and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game. The Seminoles are averaging only 71.2 points per game but they are shooting 47.2% from the field as a team this season. Florida State is a decent rebounding team, averaging 36 boards per game. The Seminoles have lost three straight games in conference play after winning four of six games to start 2014. The Seminoles will be at home for Wednesday’s game; Florida State has now lost two games at home this season.
Virginia Tech is the worst team in the ACC and one of the worst teams amongst the power conferences in college basketball. Florida State will be fired up to get back on track and this game will get ugly early. The Seminoles win big at home on Wednesday.
