The Illinois-Chicago Flames go on the road to face Horizon leader the Green Bay Phoenix.
Illinois-Chicago has really been struggling and it doesn't take a great deal of effort to figure out why as a quick glance at the numbers tells us. Not enough production at either end of the floor with a few tough luck losses thrown in to the mix has led to an 0-9 record in the conference that was capped off by a 70-46 loss to Valparaiso. The Crusaders forged a double figure lead early and were off to the races with 46% shooting doing the damage with the Flames held to 27%. UIC received eight points each from Jake Wiegland, Marc Brown and Kelsey Barlow in a very tough shooting night.

Green Bay sits atop the Horizon at 8-1 and with good reason as their balance between scoring and defending is the best in the conference. The Phoenix have outscored the opposition 76-64 and can win by any number of ways with defense and clutch shooting in the half court leading them to a 62-55 decision over Wright State on Saturday. The Phoenix connected at 46% and held the Raiders to under 38% with a 3-18 mark from long range huring them and keeping things close with the visitors going 8-20 on threes. Greg Mays tossed in a contest best 22 points and snared six boards while Keifer Sykes added 18 points, six yanks and five helpers.
Illinois-Chicago doesn't have a shot here with Green Bay at home with big blowout potential. I don't feel comfortable backing either but if I'm going down it would be with the points...
