The Line: Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -11 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes will go on the road for the first time in a couple weeks to play the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Both teams have won three of their last four games.
Tulsa has been relying on terrific defense to put together some nice victories. In its last five games it is holding teams to 39.1 percent shooting and 65.6 points. That’s a big difference from the 42.4 percent and 72 points it has allowed on the season. Offensively, the Golden Hurricanes are coming off a 94-point performance against North Texas. They shot 57.1 percent from the field and knocked down six three-point attempts.

Louisiana Tech, the real Conference USA team that has relied on defense all year, hasn’t really been holding up as well as it should. In its last five games teams are shooting 45.8 percent from the field and averaging 75.6 points. However, the Bulldogs are shooting above 48 percent and dropping 83 points during that time frame to make up for the defensive struggles.
Louisiana Tech is 9-1 straight up at home this season, while Tulsa is 1-6 on the road. However, against the spread overall, both teams have made big money with the Bulldogs putting together a nice 10-6 record, and the Golden Hurricanes are 11-7 ATS.
This number has to do with the way Tulsa has had a hard time on the road. Take the location out of it and both teams are playing solid basketball and should put together a competitive game.
Just off of defense alone, asking Tulsa to keep this game under double digits shouldn’t be difficult. After all, Tulsa is 8-2 against the spread in its last 10 conference matchups.
Give me the road team and the points.
