The Hawaii Warriors look to defend the home court when the Santa Barbara Gauchos pay a visit.
Santa Barbara has plenty of scoring and defensive potential which is reason number one this team is in a three way tie atop the Big West standings. UC Davis got a Bird's Eye view of this balance in Saturday's 82-67 defeat to the Gauchos where a 14 point lead after 20 minutes was never challenged. UCSB had advantages throughout but the biggest was in the shooting department 53.7%-41.8% which accounted for six more field goals. Alan Williams was an unstoppable force with with 27 points and 20 rebounds followed by Kyle Boswell with 15 points while Michael Bryson and Eric Childress combined for 19 points.

Fans of up tempo basketball would probably enjoy the top 20 offense of Hawaii which is averaging over 82 points and the top reason the Warriors are 11-3 on their home floor. The ability to score has led to victories in four of five after a second half surge led to a 77-63 decision over CSU Northridge. UH didn't burn the nets down with 40.8% shooting but it didn't matter 19 offensive rebounds leading to 20 more looks at the basket. Isaac Fotu poured in a game high 20 points and hauld in eight rebounds while Brandon Spearman and Garrett Nevels netted 15 points apice with Spearman snagging eight rebounds.
Hawaii has a unique home court advantage with opponents having a long and tiresome trip and that is a concern. They are not unbeatable there and I don't need a win with the points so I'll take the visiting Gauchos...
