The Central Michigan Chippewas take the floor with the Buffalo Bulls at McGuirk Arena.
Buffalo didn't have a season for the scrapbooks a year ago but they have rebounded to challenge in the MAC where they currently in a three way tie for the top just one game off the pace. The top of the conference is a logjam with five teams within a game of first so there isn't a lot of room for error. The Bulls didn't have to worry about losing ground Wednesday as they pounded out a 69-43 victory over Ball State. UB connected at 41% from the floor and held the Cardinals to just 35% while forcing 17 turnovers and owning a 26-6 edge at the stripe. Javon McCrea led all scorers with 19 points and 14 rebounds followed Jarod Oldham with 17 and Will Regan with a 13 point, six pull effort.

Central Michigan was keeping their heads above water heading in to their conference schedule with a 7-5 record but it has been all downhill since a 1-8 league mark. It was 0-8 before the Chippewas go in to the win column with 78-73 overtime decision over visiting Kent State on Wednesday. CMU was out shot 51%-41% but forced 16 giveaways and won the free throw battle 19-8 despite 63% shooting. John Simons tossed in a contest best 22 points and hauled in eleven rebounds with Chris Fowler netting 18 points and handing out five helpers followed by the duo of Braylon Rayson and Rayshawn Simmons with ten points apiece.
I think Buffalo has an improved look to them and more so then the rest of the conference. I will back them here even though road chalk makes me cringe...
