Florida International and Middle Tennessee both had a game on Thursday, so they’ll have little time to prepare for Saturday’s game against one another at the U.S. Century Bank Arena.
The Panthers have lost three of their last five games but are coming off a win against UAB. In the win they shot a cool 49.1 percent from the field and knocked down seven threes. However, they turned the ball over 18 times. Consistency has been a big issue with this team all season and the game against the Blazers was a perfect example of that.

Middle Tennessee has actually won four straight games and will play its second straight road game after just beating Florida Atlantic. The Blue Raiders continue to play hardnosed defense, holding teams under 40 percent shooting and 59.8 points in their last five games. Offensively, they don’t score a lot of points, but they do shoot a high percentage at 45.9 on the season. Shawn Jones has now scored 20-plus points in three straight games.
I’d stay away from this game due to the fact I’m not sure which FIU team is going to show up. However, for the sake of the article, I’ll take the Panthers at home and the points.
Florida International is 4-2 against the spread at home, while the Blue Raiders are just 3-7 ATS on the road. Also, the Panthers have covered 10 of their last 12 home games. The Panthers are a decent team when they’re not turning the ball over and taking crazy shots.
I’ll go out on a limb and take the points and the home team.
