Storyline: Loyola Marymount tries to end a three-game skid and climb out of the bottom of the WCC when they welcome Pacific Saturday.

Freshman G Evan Payne scored a team-high 17 points to go along with 6 assists, senior G Anthony Ireland had 13 points and 4 assists, and senior F Alex Osborne added 10 points. On the season, Loyola Marymount is averaging 74.8 ppg on 44.4 percent shooting. Ireland leads the team with 18.6 ppg, followed by Payne at 14.6 ppg.

The Tigers were outshot from the floor 51.0 percent to 38.6 percent and from outside the arc 53.8 percent to 43.5 percent. Pacific was also edged on the boards 36-33 and conceded 9 blocks. Senior G Andrew Bock scored 15 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists, freshman G T.J. Wallace had 15 points off the bench, including 7 of 12 from the free throw line, and senior F Tony Gill added 12 points and boards. Through 22 games, Pacific is averaging 75.3 ppg on 44.9 percent shooting. Bock leads the team in scoring with 12.3 ppg, followed by Gill at 11.5 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -1.5 for Loyola Marymount. LMU beat Pacific by 11 a couple weeks ago on the road, which explains the line. These two are very cose statistically, but look for Pacific to avenge the earlier loss.
