Instate and conference rivals clash when the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks visit the Ohio Bobcats.
If Miami (Ohio) could a few of their close defeats in to wins this might be a top four squad but unfortunately we don't deal in 'what could have been' type scenarios. As it stands the Redhawks have plenty of time to improve upon their 5-4 record and 6th place standing with a boost in scoring certain to help. Miami really needed some scoring in a 53-41 loss at Northern Illinois last time out with only 14 second half points spelling disaster. The Redhawks connected at only 30% includng 1-15 on threes. Joshua Oswald was the lone double figure scorer with ten points and five pulls with Willie Moore adding nine points and seven yanks.

Ohio has been a fixture at the top of the MAC for awhile and it appears this team is going to be in the mix once again. The Bobcats have not been as dominant as in previous seasons but some of the competition looks improved which could explain numerous close outcomes. Having said that, Ohio knocked off Toledo in one of their biggest wins and followed with one their poorest efforts in a 90-74 loss at Western Michigan on Wednesday. Nearly 60% shooting and a 53 point second half spurred the Broncos while 52% accuracy and eleven threes fell short for Ohio who gave the ball away 16 times. Maurice Ndour led scoring with 20 points and six pulls with Nick Kellogg tossing in 13 while TJ Hall and Stevie Taylor added 12 points each.
Ohio is better and has blowout potential but Miami (Ohio) has played them reasonably well through the years. I think the Redhawks are bit better then past teams and I'd be uncomfortable laying the points...
