The San Diego State Aztecs return home to host the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday night. They’ve won 19 straight games and are 10-1 at home, while the Wolf Pack have split their last six games.
San Diego State is coming off a miracle comeback against Boise State where it was down by double digits in the second half. However, thanks to defensive pressure and a last-second three by Dwayne Polee, the Aztecs remain unbeaten in conference play. In just their last five games they’re holding opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the field, under 30 percent shooting from beyond the arc and only 58.8 points. Offensively, there aren’t many players playing better than Xavier Thames, who has scored 78 points in his last three games.

Nevada is playing the second game of a back-to-back road trip where it just lost to Utah State. It is just 6-4 straight up on the road this season. The Wolf Pack have really tightened up their defense as of late, holding teams to just 40.4 percent shooting in their last five games. Offensively, they’re still one of the better teams in the Mountain West, averaging 74 points on 44.2 percent shooting on the season.
Make sure to check the status of San Diego State’s Winston Shepard before wagering. He’s questionable with a wrist injury.
While I love this San Diego State team, it has been shaky as of late. It had no business beating Boise State, and also needed overtime to knock off Utah State. This team does just enough to win, which is why it is 3-5 against the spread at home. Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack are 8-3 ATS on the road.
Nevada is also 6-1 ATS in its last seven road games.
Give me the Wolf Pack and the points, please.
