The Utah Utes and the Washington State Cougars face off on Saturday in Pac-12 college basketball.
The Utah Utes are coming off of a win that ended a three game losing streak. Utah is 15-1 at home this season and 4-6 in the Pac-12. Delon Wright is averaging 16.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game to lead the Utes. Jordan Loveridge is averaging 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, Brandon Taylor is averaging 10.7 points, and Dakarai Tucker is averaging 7.9 points. Washington State is averaging 79.2 points and they are shooting 50.3 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.3 points and their opponents are shooting 40.3 percent. Utah has simply failed to get it done against better teams and on the road.

The Washington State Cougars are having a rough year and they have lost five of their last six games. Wazzu is 2-8 in the Pac-12 and 3-8 away from home this season. Que Johnson is leading the Cougars averaging 10.8 points per game. D.J. Shelton is averaging 9.0 points and 8.7 rebounds, Royce Woolridge is averaging 8.0 points, and Dexter Kernich-Drew is averaging 6.4 points. WSU is averaging 62.5 points and they are shooting 41.4 percent while defensively they are allowing 65.3 points and their opponents are shooting 44.3 percent. Washington State is in 11th place in the Pac-12.
Utah is 20-6-1 against the spread in their last 27 home games, 5-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 Pac-12 games. Washington State is 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven road games, 15-7 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven road games against a team with a home winning percentage over .600. The home team has covered the point spread in the last six meetings of these two.
Utah is simply the far better team and after losing at Washington State earlier this year they get revenge and a cover.
